The Myth About Goals
Continuing the theme of habit change, another great take-a-way for me from James Clear’s book, Atomic Habits, is “We don’t rise to the level of our goals. We fall to the level of our processes.”
In other words, it is not enough to just set a goal. That is a myth. You need to create a process to achieve the goal.
For example, in the middle of last year I set a goal to create these Express Desk Stretch videos once per week. To make it easy and repeatable for me, my process is this:
I place time on my calendar the last Monday of every month to outline what my content will be for the upcoming month.
Every Friday morning I schedule myself to create each week’s content then I schedule it to come to you every Monday evening.
As ideas come to me throughout the week, I just save them to a file for that month and then reference it every Friday.
If you have a goal to be less stressed and more focused this year, create a process. I invite you to include these Express Desk Stretches as part of that process.

This approach works for business goals/habits and personal goals/habits.
