Do You Approve of Yourself?

Have you ever made a mistake at work or in life and beat yourself up? Do you sometimes feel inadequate to do a certain job or project and get down on yourself? If so, you are not alone.

Humans tend to treat other people better than they treat themselves. February is all about the heart, so that will be the focus of my posts and videos this month. I am starting with showing heart for yourself; otherwise known as self-compassion.

Self-compassion is all about giving ourselves support and encouragement vs. being judgmental and critical of ourselves.

Research indicates that self-compassion is one of the most powerful sources of coping and resilience we have available to us. It radically improves our mental and physical wellbeing. If you would like to explore this further check out self-compassion.org. It is a great resource.
